Site owners or webmasters need many seo tools to know more about their site, like they need Google toolbar to know their site Page rank, No of backward links in Google, when site was last cached and to get more similar sites like you. If I make a calculation about the number of helpful tools available for seo, there will be hundreds of tools available.
I am not going to list all of those but have created a small list of seo tools that may be useful for all website owners or people who work on a website:

Google is providing really useful tools for the webmasters to know them how their site is being crawled and indexed by Google. Google webmasters tool includes creating sitemap to know statistics, indexing, crawling and complete report about your website. Webmasters have the option to submit their data on Google base and Google book search
- Webconfs
Webconfs also provides many useful tools for the seo’s like including backlink anchor text analysis, keyword density checker, domain related tools and many more keywords related tools.
- Seo Tools from Seochat
Seo chat is also providing many cool useful seo tools for the webmasters to get top listing in various search engines. They have some good search engine optimizer’s helpful tools like Adsense calculator for better understanding of Google Adsense program and Ads placements, Meta tag generator tool for creating meta tags for your site, many Google related tools and countless number of keywords related tools.

If you depend on link or site selling as a form of monetization you’ll definitely want to increase your Alexa rank, because it’ll increase your bargaining power when it comes to ad pricing.
